Driver Dies After Crash - Colinton

A driver has died following a two-vehicle crash in the state's south.

About 12.15am today (Sunday 1 March 2026), emergency services were called to the Monaro Highway, Colinton, about 10km south of Michelago, following reports two cars had crashed head-on.

Officers attached to Monaro Police District attended and found the driver of one car deceased at the scene.

They are yet to be formally identified.

The driver of the second car has not been located.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the incident has commenced.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.

The Monaro Highway is closed in both directions.
