Driver dies after crash - Panania

A man has died following a crash in Sydney's south-west earlier this evening.

About 6.40pm on Sunday 28 March 2021, emergency services were called to Horsley Road near the intersection of Carson Street, Panania, after reports a Holden Commodore sedan had left the road and

hit a power pole.

The driver, a 23-year-old man, suffered serious head injuries and fractures.

He was treated at the scene by first responders, however due to the severity of his injuries, he was unable to be revived.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
