Driver Dies After Crash - Riverina

A driver has died following a single vehicle crash in the state's south last night.

About 8.30pm (Sunday 9 August 2026), emergency services were called to Mary Gilmore Way, Ariah Park, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Riverina Police District attended, alongside the Rural Fire Service and NSW Ambulance paramedics, and located a utility that had left the roadway and crashed into a tree.

The driver – a 19-year-old man – died at the scene.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has commenced.

Police will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.
