Driver dies in hospital after crash - Maroubra

A woman has died in hospital following a crash at Maroubra earlier this week.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Robey Street and Fitzgerald Avenue about 12pm on Monday (14 September 2020), after reports a Holden Barina had hit a parked Mercedes while reversing, ejecting the driver.

The driver, an 83-year-old woman, suffered serious head injuries and fractures.

She was treated by paramedics and taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a critical condition, where she died yesterday (Friday 18 September 2020).

Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
