Driver dies in hospital following fatal crash at Lancefield

A man has died in hospital following a single vehicle crash which also claimed the life of a woman in Lancefield on Wednesday (13 February).

The 88-year-old from Sunbury was driving his silver Hyundai east on Three Chain Road when it's believed the vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree about 2pm.

His passenger, an 87-year-old Sunbury woman died at the scene.

The man was airlifted to hospital with critical injuries but sadly died yesterday.
