Driver dies when ute hits tree at Temora

A man has died after his dual-cab utility left an unsealed road and hit a tree in the state's south overnight.

Emergency services were called to Moroneys Lane about 9.25pm (Thursday 20 February 2020), and found the 23-year-old driver of a Mitsubishi Triton utility had died at the scene.

A 19-year-old man who was a front-seat passenger escaped injury.

Both men are believed to be from Temora.

Officers from Riverina Police District were assisted at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and SES volunteers.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
