Driver flees after crash in Revesby

Police are appealing for information after a crash in Sydney’s west, in which the driver fled the scene , leaving a trapped passenger, NSW Police say.

About 10.05pm yesterday (Wednesday 11 July 2018), a Suzuki Vitara was travelling west on Milperra Road, Revesby, when the car left the road and struck a power pole.

After the crash, the driver, believed to be a male aged about 25, and of Pacific Islander appearance, fled the scene on foot.

The male passenger was trapped in the wreckage for about 30 minutes, before being released and taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment to chest and leg injuries.

He is understood to be in a stable condition.

Police from Bankstown Police Area Command are working to identify the driver.

He was last seen running east on Milperra Road, towards Stacey Street.

Any witnesses or anyone with information on the driver’s identity is urged to contact Bankstown Police or Crime Stoppers.
