Drove in, walking out

A Gippsland man is going to be hoping one of his mates can give him a lift home after his car was impounded for drink driving in Shepparton this morning, Victoria Police say.

Police received a call for an erratic driver on Wyndham Street about 2.45am.

After intercepting the Ford Falcon ute shortly after, the man returned a positive breath test.

Police also discovered that the 33-year-old Binginwarri man, who was visiting the Goulburn Valley, was driving without a licence.

He then returned a reading of 0.165% on an evidentiary breath test.

His vehicle has been impounded for 30 days and he will be charged on summons with a range of traffic offences.
