Drug charges in West End, QLD

Police have charged a man after intercepting a vehicle in West End last night, Queensland Police say.

It will be alleged at about 7.30pm a search of the man and vehicle on Hope Street located 46 grams of ICE and a mobile phone.

The man also submitted to roadside saliva test which allegedly indicated a positive reading.

The 39-year-old man from Fairfield was charged with two counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count of receiving tainted property.

He is scheduled to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 18.

Police are awaiting further laboratory results for the saliva test.
