Drug charges, Sunshine Beach

Detectives from the Sunshine Coast Criminal Investigation Branch and the Drug and Serious Crime
Task Force have charged two people during an ongoing drug operation on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland Police say.

Police intercepted a vehicle on the Nambour Connection Road, Sunshine Beach around 8pm yesterday where it will be alleged the male driver ran from police and threw a package of drugs in nearby bushes.

The man was apprehended nearby.

Police will also allege a subsequent search of the vehicle and a residence in Park Crescent resulted in the location of a quantity of ICE and cocaine, a sum of cash, two stolen motorcycles and a stolen pushbike.

A Sunshine Beach man and woman, both aged 35, have been charged with drug related offences including possession and supply of dangerous drugs. They are due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.

Investigations are continuing.
