Drug driver detected in Wurruk

Wellington Highway Patrol members detected an alleged drug driver in Wurruk this morning, Victoria Police say.

Officers were patrolling Princes Highway about 12.15am when they saw a Holden station wagon failing to go through a round-about properly.

The Holden was intercepted and officers spoke to a 34-year-old Tenby Point man.

He underwent a preliminary drug test which returned a positive result.

He was required to undergo an evidentiary process and is expected to be charged with drug driving offences.

During testing officers noted that the man was meant to be driving a vehicle with an alcohol interlock device, this was not the case.

He is also expected to be charged with breaching alcohol interlock condition and failing to keep left.
