Drug raids lead to man's arrest, SA

A man will face court tomorrow following drug raids tonight in the western suburbs, according to SA Police.

Western Adelaide CIB Tactical along with officers from Uniform Tactical, State Tactical, Police Dog Operations and Neighbourhood Policing Teams, searched a business at Wingfield and a house at Underdale as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

Located at Wingfield was about 5kg of cannabis, 12 cannabis plants being grown hydroponically, an amount of cash and paraphernalia associated with the sale of illicit drugs.

Police then conducted a search of a house at Underdale and located 12 small bags of cannabis and an amount of cash.

A 25-year-old from Underdale was arrested at the house and charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of controlled substance, cultivate cannabis, divert electricity and unlawful possession.

He has been refused bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.
