Drugs found during traffic stop in Orange

A man has been charged after a large amount of drugs were found during traffic stop in Orange yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 10:15pm yesterday, officers from Canobolas Local Area Command, were patrolling on Kenna St, Orange, when they stopped a grey Holden Commodore for a random breath test.

After speaking with a 44-year-old man, who was the driver of the Holden, police searched the car.

During this search, police will allege they found 3.2 kilograms of Cannabis with an estimated street value of almost $100,000 and a sum of cash.

The man was arrested and conveyed to Orange Police Station.

He was charged with supplying prohibited drugs, possessing prohibited drugs and dealing with the proceeds of crime.

The man was bail refused and will appear before Orange Local Court today

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
