Drugs seized, man charged in Bankstown

A man will face court today charged with drug offences in Bankstown area, NSW Police say.

Just before 4.30pm yesterday, officers from Region Enforcement Squad Wetherill Park were patrolling Meredith Street, Bankstown, when they observed a Nissan Pulsar.

Police pulled the vehicle over to speak to the driver, before a search of the vehicle was carried out.

During the search, police allegedly located a small bag containing crystal substance, believed to be methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.

A 25-year-old man was arrested and taken to Bankstown Police Station.

He was charged with supply prohibited drug x3, supply prohibited drug on an ongoing basis, direct criminal group and drive whilst disqualified.

The man was refused bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court today.
