Duo charged over local break-ins, NSW

Police have charged two people following investigations into multiple break-ins across Sydney’s west in recent weeks, NSW Police say.

Police have been investigating a number of break and enters, and attempted break-ins, that have occurred in homes across Bligh Park, Bella Vista, Kellyville, McGraths Hill, Falconbridge, Blaxland, Emu Plains and Leonay since the beginning of February 2018.

About 3pm yesterday (Friday 2 March 2018), officers from Nepean Police Area Command were patrolling an area around Emu Plains when they allegedly saw two people loading property into a vehicle.

Police approached a 29-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man; as a result of inquiries, the pair were arrested.

They were taken to Penrith Police Station where the man was charged with break and enter dwelling house with intent (x5), aggravated break and enter dwelling in company (x3).

He was refused bail and appeared before Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 3 March 2018) where he was refused bail to appear before Penrith Local Court on Wednesday 7 March 2018.

The woman was charged with drug possession, break and enter dwelling with intent (x2), and break and enter dwelling (x3).

She was refused bail and appeared in Parramatta Bail Court today where she was granted conditional bail to appear before Penrith Local Court on Wednesday 7 March 2018.
