A man has been fined after allegedly riding an E-motorcycle negligently through Sydney's CBD earlier this week.
About 4.30pm on Tuesday (3 February 2026), police were called to Hickson Road, Sydney, following multiple calls of a large group of E-bike and E-motorcycle riders, riding in a dangerous manner.
Officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command and Traffic and Highway Patrol Command attended and located approximately 40 riders who were riding dangerously on the Harbour Bridge.
The group dispersed a short time later. Police did not initiate a pursuit due to safety concerns.
About 5.30pm on the same day, police located the group at Mrs Macquarie's Chair where they were spoken to and dispersed.
There were no reports of injuries or damage to properties.
Following extensive inquiries, yesterday (Friday 6 February 2026), police issued a 26-year-old man, a citizen of the United States of America, with two Traffic Infringement Notices for the offence of negligent driving (no death or grievous bodily harm) with a penalty of $562 and 3 demerit points each.
Inquiries continue into the incident.
