The Victorian Government is continuing work on the North East Link (NEL) project. Disruptions to the Eastern Freeway and surrounding road network are expected as works progress. To keep informed, we encourage you to:

- plan ahead during closures
- seek alternative routes and allow extra time.
Road closure final weekend of March
From 10 pm this Friday 27 March to 5 am Monday 30 March, the Eastern Freeway will be closed in both directions between Bulleen and Doncaster roads.
Delays of up to 60 minutes are expected during peak travel times. We encourage you to plan ahead.
The Eastern Freeway Burke to Tram Alliance crews will be lifting and installing steel beams over the freeway lanes. Weather conditions and other factors may affect their progress. If they can't complete the planned works, they may reschedule to another weekend.
