An elderly woman missing from Wollongong has been located safe and well after a geo-target message was issued appealing for public assistance.
The 83-year-old woman was last seen at home on Corrimal Street, Tarrawanna, about 8.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 4 October 2022).
When she could not be located, officers attached to Wollongong Police District were notified and commenced inquiries to locate her.
Following inquiries – and a geo-target message issued to the Wollongong area – the woman was located safe and well about 5am today (Wednesday 5 October 2022).
Police would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.
