Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing girl Ella Cartwright.

The 13-year-old was last seen at a home in Russell Road Seville on Wednesday 12 August about 6pm.

Police and family hold concerns for Ella’s welfare due to her young age and as her disappearance is out of character.

An image of Ella has been released in the hope someone will come forward with information about her current whereabouts.

Ella is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 172cm tall with a slim build and has dyed blonde hair.

She was last seen wearing a back hooded top and blue jeans.

Anyone who sees Ella or has information on her current whereabouts is urged to call Lilydale Police Station on 9739 2300.
