A Storm Tide Watch and Act message has been issued for Dingo Beach, Conway Beach, Cape Upstart, Bowen, Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour from the Whitsunday Disaster Management Group, Queensland Police say.
Evacuations are directed in the Whitsunday Region for the Red and Orange Zones on Sunday until the Cyclone passes.
Evacuations are recommended for the Yellow Zone, prepare to evacuate if directed.
Residents should warn their neighbours, secure their belongings and seek safe shelter.
