An EMERGENCY ALERT has been issued at 11am, 13 March by the Longreach Regional Council.

This is a SIGNIFICANT MAJOR FLOOD WATCH AND ACT message from the Longreach Regional Council. Localised flooding is coming soon to Longreach. PREPARE TO LEAVE.

Roads may be closed for an extended period. Conditions could change quickly.

Listen to local radio or go to https://rapad.qitplus.com/longreach, call Council on 4658 4111. If your life is in danger call triple zero.

For assistance with a life-threatening situation phone Triple Zero (000) immediately.

For assistance with non-life-threatening situations - such as help with a damaged roof or storm damage - phone SES on 132 500.
