Emergency Crews Responding To Fatal Fire, Brassall

Police will prepare a report for the coroner following the death of a woman in a unit fire in Brassall on 28 April.

Emergency services were called to Melville Drive around 4.20am following reports a fire had broken out inside a unit.

A 68-year-old woman was initially transported to Royal Brisbane Hospital with critical injuries where she passed away yesterday afternoon.

A second occupant, a 68-year-old man was also transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Preliminary investigations by police suggest the fire is non-suspicious.

Investigations are continuing.
