Emergency Crews Responding To Fatal House Fire - Orange

A woman has died in a house fire in the state's central west.

About 9.20pm today (Sunday 10 May 2026), emergency services responded to reports of a house fire in Tynan Street, Orange.

Fire and Rescue NSW entered the home and removed an unconscious 82-year-old woman from the premises.

CPR was commenced but the woman died at the scene.

Officers from Central West Police District have established a crime scene and an investigation has commenced.

No other persons were in the home at the time.

Police are urging anyone with information about the fire – or was in the area at the time with any available dashcam/mobile phone footage – to contact Orange Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
