Emergency crews responding to fire at Maylands, South Australia

Police are investigating a suspicious house fire at Frederick Street, Maylands this morning.

Emergency services responded when the alarm was raised just before 6.30am on Monday 16 May. On arrival, they found a two-storey house near the corner of Frederick Street and Magill Road well alight.

Magill Road and surrounding streets were closed while firefighters battled the blaze, but have since reopened.

MFS crews managed to stop the fire from spreading to nearby premises.

The property was vacant and there were no reported injuries.

Fire cause investigators are at the scene to try to establish a cause of the fire.
