Emergency crews responding to truck fire at Ki Ki

The Dukes Highway remains closed at Ki Ki following an overnight truck fire.

Emergency crews were called to the Dukes Highway, near Frost Road, at Ki Ki about 11.15pm on Sunday 17 September by reports of a truck fire.

The B-double was parked on the side of the highway, fully engulfed in flames, with the fire spreading to adjacent scrub.

The 61-year-old truck driver from Victoria was not injured.

There were lane restrictions overnight while CFS crews battled the blaze, which keeps reigniting.

The highway is currently closed in both directions to all traffic while the B-double is taken apart to fully extinguish the fire.

Diversions are in place between Tailem Bend and Coonalpyn with motorists to detour towards Meningie via the Princes Highway and McIntosh Way.
