Emergency Declared in Seventeen Mile Rocks: Queensland Police

Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) in relation to a fire taking place at Seventeen Mile Rocks.

Shortly after 5pm emergency services were called to a Hasp Street business following reports of a large blaze.

An emergency situation was declared just after 5.50pm, with boundaries encompassing Seventeen Mile Rocks Road, Oldfield Road and Staple Street.

Members of the public are advised to avoid the area and those within the exclusion zone are asked to remain indoors until further notice.

Traffic diversions are in place.
