The Tasmanian Government continues to support small businesses and primary producers affected by the recent floods with Emergency Response Grants now available for clean-up and restoration activities.
The maximum grant amount available is $25,000, which includes an up-front payment of $2,500 to provide immediate cashflow.
Assistance will be available for eligible impacted small businesses and primary producers in the 17 local government areas hardest hit by the severe weather - Break O'Day, Burnie, Central Coast, Central Highlands, Circular Head, Devonport, Dorset, Flinders, George Town, Kentish, Latrobe, Launceston, Meander Valley, Northern Midlands, Waratah-Wynyard, West Coast and West Tamar.
These grants ensure our farmers and businesses can begin the road to recovery by accessing equipment and services needed for the massive clean-up job ahead.
The financial assistance is being jointly funded by the Australian and Tasmanian Governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
We will do whatever it takes to support flood affected communities and it is clear that Tasmanian primary producers and small businesses need this support.
