Police have declared an emergency situation under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) in Carseldine tonight, Queensland Police say.
The declaration is bounded by Denver Street, Lucinda Street, McCallum Street and Gympie Road.
Residents within the exclusion zone are asked to remain indoors as police negotiate with a man.
Those outside the zone are asked to avoid the area until further notice.
