Endangering Police Officer Charges, Cannonvale

Police have charged a man after a stolen vehicle was allegedly driven into a police vehicle in Cannonvale on April 17.

It will be alleged at 4.45pm, a stolen vehicle drove into a police vehicle while officers attempted to intercept the vehicle on Abell Road.

No one was physically injured during the incident, and a 34-year-old Bowen man was taken into custody a short time later.

He has since been charged with multiple offences including one count each of endangering a police officer when driving a motor vehicle, wilful damage and obstruct police officer.

He is due to appear before the Proserpine Magistrates Court on Monday, 20 April.

Investigations are continuing.
