Endangering property by fire charges in Kingaroy, QLD

Police have charged a man following an investigation into nine fires lit on vacant land in Kingaroy, Queensland Police say.

It will be alleged that between August 3 and August 18, nine fires were lit on vacant land in Oasis Drive.

The fires threatened nearby fences and property however were promptly extinguished by emergency services.

No one was injured during the incidents.

On August 19, a search warrant was executed at an address in Roberta Street where a 26-year-old Kingaroy man was located and arrested.

The man is charged with nine counts of endangering particular property by fire and will appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 17.
