Police have charged a man following damage to 40 poker machines at a hotel in Beenleigh last night., Queensland Police say>
Around 8.40pm, it will be alleged the man had attended the hotel earlier in the night before leaving the establishment and returning with petrol.
It will further be alleged the man doused the machines and then lit them on fire.
Three machines were destroyed by the fire and 37 others and damaged beyond repair from exposure to chemicals.
A 25-year-old Beenleigh man has been charged with endangering particular property by fire.
He will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court today.
