Enter with intent in Ashgrove, QLD

Detectives from the Ferny Grove Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating after an Ashgrove football club was broken into overnight, Queensland Police say.

Preliminary investigations indicate that around 3am this morning, two men unlawfully entered the club on Othaki Road.

Once inside, the men have damaged an internal door to the stockroom where they have then removed a safe containing a significant sum of cash.

They have taken another sum of cash that was located in a locked cupboard before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.

One man is described as Caucasian with a proportionate build and a goatee beard. He was wearing long camouflage pants, a hooded jacket, and black sneakers.

The second man is described as having a proportionate build. He was wearing long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, sunglasses, a cap, and a scarf or skivvy that was used to conceal the lower half of his face.

Investigating officers have released CCTV footage and are seeking the public’s assistance.

Anyone with any information in relation to this incident is urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
