EOI process now open for Next Generation Racing Committee

Young Tasmanian racing enthusiasts will have the opportunity to shape the future of the industry with the expression of interest process now open to become a member of the Next Generation Racing Committee (NGRC).

The NGRC will communicate the social and economic benefits of the Tasmanian racing industry along with promoting participation and attendance at race meetings around the State and provide input on animal welfare issues.

Members of the NGRC will gain from mentoring experiences with top level trainers, breeders and stewards to gain a better understanding of the industry.

Those selected on the Committee will be initially appointed for one year terms with the possibility of being re-appointed and will provide advice directly to me as Minister for Racing.

The EOI process in open to any Tasmanian resident under the age of 40, who is either currently involved in the industry as a participant or who is seeking to become involved.
