Erratic Eastlink driver arrested and tests positive to drugs

A 32-year-old Vermont woman has been arrested following reports of erratic driving on the East Link this morning, Victoria Police say.

The woman’s car was seen travelling Southbound on the Eastlink near Caribbean Drive.

A search of the vehicle located a small quantity of methamphetamine and an Oral Fluid Test tested positive to drugs.

The woman is expected to be charged on summons with driving in a dangerous manner, driving whilst exceeding the prescribed concentration of a drug and possessing a drug of dependence.

Investigators are keen to hear from witnesses of the incident or whom may have mobile phone or dash-cam footage of the alleged offence.

Anyone who witnessed the driver is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
