Police are searching for a Cairns woman (pictured) who was released from the Cairns Watchhouse on September 12, Queensland Police say.
It will be alleged at about 3.50pm the 18-year-old woman assumed the identity of another woman who was also in custody and was subsequently released from custody.
Police believe both women were known to each other and were similar in appearance. Both women were in the same cell prior to release.
The woman is not considered a risk to the community.
