Officers from Cardwell and Tully were able to successfully stop a vehicle which had been reported stolen on the Bruce Highway this afternoon, Queensland Police say.
Around 1pm, it will be alleged police sighted the suspected stolen vehicle travelling northbound on the Bruce Highway, south of Cardwell.
Police followed the vehicle north, towards Tully, where officers deployed a tyre deflation device. This deployment was partially successful with one tyre being deflated.
A short time later, officers deployed a second tyre deflation device, resulting in a successful deflation.
The vehicle stopped shortly thereafter where 6 people were arrested.
Nobody was injured.
Investigations are continuing.
