Hundreds of vulnerable people in the community have received immediate access to 34 different services at this year's Hands of Support event.
Rockhampton Regional Council was proud to continue its support for the event, formerly named Homeless Connect, by providing the venue, breakfast, toiletries and towels for participants accessing the shower facilities.
Communities, Culture and Heritage Councillor Drew Wickerson said it was heartwarming to see people coming together to support those in need.
"This year, each stallholder was required to provide a service, whether that was health checks, haircuts or legal advice," Cr Wickerson said.
"This event is important for people in our community who may find seeking out these kinds of services overwhelming."
QShelter Service Integration Facilitator for Central Queensland, John Clayton, said Hands of Support demonstrated the "incredible goodwill" of the community.
"Navigating different agencies can be overwhelming for someone experiencing hardship, so we bring them together under one roof," Mr Clayton said.
"It's about offering a genuine hand up, rather than just a handout.
"Its success relies entirely on the strong collaboration between government, local businesses and the community sector.
"Hands of Support ensures that no one in our community feels isolated or forgotten, providing not just services but also a vital sense of inclusion and dignity."
