Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi’s heart surgery has finished, local media reported Tuesday.
Berlusconi was hospitalized with a heart condition last week. His doctor said that he would undergo an operation to replace his aortic valve.
According to La Repubblica newspaper, the operation, which took place in Milan, went successfully.
Berlusconi, 79, was the Italian prime minister three times, occupying the post in 1994-1995, 2001-2006 and 2008-2011.
