Exceed speed limit - high range, TAS

At approximately 1.40pm on Sunday 21 January 2018, Police were conducting static speed checks on the Arthur Highway at Murdunna., Tasmania Police say>

Police detected a motorcycle travelling at 172km/h in a 100km/h zone. The motorcycle was intercepted and a 53-year-old male from Risdon Vale was arrested at the scene.

The driver and his passenger were taken back to the Dunalley Police Station where the male rider was charged with several related traffic offences and had his motorcycle confiscated. He was later bailed to attend Hobart Magistrates Court in February.
