Factory fire at Liverpool

Emergency services remain at the scene of a factory fire near Liverpool this morning.

Just before 5.20am (Friday 19 March 2021), officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command were called to Hoxton Park Road, near Cartwright Avenue, Prestons, following reports of a large factory fire.

Fire and Rescue NSW are on scene working to extinguish the blaze.

The premises and surrounding businesses were closed at the time.

No injuries have been reported; however; two employees were evacuated, and emergency services are in the process of evacuating nearby residents.

Road closures are currently in place on Hoxton Park Road and will likely be in place for an extended period of time. Motorists should consider using alternate routes and avoid the area.
