Factory fire - Fairfield East

Emergency services remain on scene at a large factory fire at Fairfield East this afternoon.

Just before 4pm (Thursday 12 March 2020), Fire and Rescue NSW responded to reports a factory was on fire on Fairfield Street, Fairfield East.

Firefighters arrived a short time later and requested the assistance of police due to safety concerns.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command attended and established a wide cordon, which includes traffic diversions and evacuating the surrounding area.
