Factory Fire - Matraville

Emergency services are on scene at a factory fire in Sydney's Eastern Beaches.

About 1.10pm today (Friday 26 September 2025), emergency services were called to a factory on Botany Road, Matraville, following reports of a fire.

Fire and Rescue NSW attended and found the factory well alight and are working to extinguish the blaze.

Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are working to evacuate nearby businesses and residences.

Fire and Rescue NSW are working to extinguish a secondary blaze at a building on Pentana Avenue, Matraville, where seven vehicles parked have been damaged.

As emergency services work to contain the blaze, police are urging people to avoid the area due to the large amount of smoke coming from the site.

Motorists are also urged to avoid the area as localised traffic diversions are in place.
