Failing to stop leads to arrest, SA

A man has been arrested after he failed to stop for police in Brompton overnight, according to SA Police.

Just after 3am on Tuesday 31 October, police spotted a car on West Street and signaled for the driver to stop.

The car sped off and police pursued for a short period before the driver stopped and ran from the vehicle. The passenger then drove off in the car.

Police established cordons and located the allege driver on the roof of a nearby house.

While trying to avoid apprehension the man jumped from a roof and sustained an injury to his leg.

The 34-year-old from Elizabeth Park was arrested on an outstanding warrant. He also received an expiation or failing to stop and driving with an expired licence.

Pending his medical treatment he will appear in court on the warrant.

Investigations are ongoing into the identification of the passenger, however it is not believed that the car was stolen.
