Fake plates lead to man's arrest, SA

Police have arrested a man following a traffic stop at Paralowie a short time ago, according to SA Police.

Just after 4am on Thursday 27 October, patrols stopped the man as he was driving along Bolivar Road after noticing unassigned plates attached to the car.

Police then conducted a search of the man and his car and located ammunition in his possession along with a knife in the driver's door and a machete under the driver's seat.

The 48-year-old from Davoren Park was charged with two counts of carry offensive weapon and insecure ammunition.

He was also issued with an on the spot fine unassigned plates, unregistered, uninsured and possession of cannabis and his car was defected.

He has been bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 8 December.
