Fatal crash at O'Halloran Hill, South Australia

Police are investigating after a pedestrian died after being struck by a car at O'Halloran Hill this morning.

Just before 4am Saturday 29 December police and emergency services were called to Black Road near the intersection of Main South Road after reports a man had been struck by a car while walking along Black Road with friends.

The pedestrian, a 21-year-old man from Flagstaff Hill sadly died at the scene. The driver of the car, a 23-year-old Aberfoyle Park, man was not injured but taken to the Flinders Medical Centre as a precaution.

Black Road is closed between Main South Road and Happy Valley Drive while Major Crash investigators are at the scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The man's death takes the State's road toll to 79, compared with 100 at this time last year.
