Fatal Crash at South Burnett Draws Police Response

A man has died following a fatal traffic incident in Hivesville in the South Burnett region, this morning, 19 July.

Initial investigations indicate a Toyota Hilux was travelling on Wondai Preston Road around 6am when the vehicle struck a man lying on the roadway.

The 18-year-old Kingaroy man sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations into the circumstances of the incident are underway.
