A 58-year-old man has died after crashing his motorcycle on the Finke Road, about 165 kilometres south of Alice Springs.
The crash occurred around one o’clock yesterday afternoon. Other riders and family members came to the man’s assistance, however he lapsed into unconsciousness and could not be resuscitated by them or medical staff, Northern Territory Police say
Kulgera Police and Southern Traffic Operations attended the scene. They’re investigating whether a soft patch of sand on the track contributed to the crash.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
