Police are currently at the scene of a single car crash in Chiltern Valley, Victoria Police say.
It is believed the car left Chiltern Valley Road and struck a tree just after 3pm and caught fire.
The yet to be identified male driver who was the only occupant of the car, died at the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
