Fatal crash in Doonside

A report will be prepared for the Coroner after a fatal crash in Sydney’s west yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 1.20pm today, a vehicle was travelling north on Rosenthal Street, Doonside, when it mounted a curb and hit a fence.

The driver, an 84-year-old man, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Blacktown Hospital.

He died in hospital a short time later.

Officers from Blacktown Local Area Command attended and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
