Fatal crash in Leeton

Police are currently at the scene of a fatal crash in the state’s Riverina this morning, NSW Police say.

Just before 8.30am (Friday 10 November 2017), emergency services were called to the intersection of Garner and Whitton Roads at Leeton, after reports of a crash.

Initial inquiries suggest a Ford Fiesta and a Kawasaki Mule have collided.

The mule overturned, ejecting the driver, a 63-year-old man.

The driver of the Ford, a 48-year-old woman, rendered first aid until the arrival of officers from Griffith Local Area Command.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended; however, the man died.

The woman was taken to Leeton Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established as inquiries continue.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
